South Africa

South Africa is one of the most visually spectacular wine countries, with vineyards set against dramatic mountain backdrops and cooled by the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. The Western Cape is the heart of production, home to historic regions such as Stellenbosch, Paarl, and Franschhoek.

Chenin Blanc and Pinotage are the country's signature grapes, the latter a uniquely South African crossing of Pinot Noir and Cinsault. Bordeaux blends, Syrah, and Sauvignon Blanc also thrive here, supported by a strong focus on sustainability and some of the oldest viticultural soils on Earth.
