Terms of Service

WineryDB is a global winery directory. Visitors can discover wineries and wine regions, and wineries can claim and enhance their listings. Some features require an account, and some are paid.

Keep your sign-in credentials safe and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account. Winery accounts and claims are subject to review: we may approve, reject, suspend, or revoke them, for example if a claim cannot be verified.

Only claim a winery you own or are authorised to represent. Information you publish must be accurate and kept up to date. We may edit, refuse, or remove content that is unlawful, misleading, infringing, or off-topic, and we may remove listings that breach these terms.

Where we offer paid features, the price and billing terms are shown at the point of purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe, and your payment is also subject to Stripe's terms. [TO CONFIRM: refund and cancellation terms.]

You keep ownership of the text, photos, and other content you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as part of the directory and its promotion. You confirm you have the rights to everything you submit and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. We may remove content that breaches these terms or the law.

The directory is compiled from public sources such as government and appellation registers, OpenStreetMap, and Wikidata, alongside submissions from wineries and the public. It is provided as-is and may be incomplete or out of date. Always confirm details such as opening hours and booking requirements with the winery directly. To request a correction, use the submission form or contact us.

You agree not to:

• Break the law or infringe others' rights.
• Scrape or bulk-extract the directory except through interfaces we provide.
• Interfere with the service, probe security, or disrupt other users.
• Misrepresent your identity, your winery, or your authority to act for it.
• Upload malicious, infringing, or misleading content.

The WineryDB name, logo, site design, and the compiled directory are owned by us [TO CONFIRM: legal entity name]. Winery-submitted content remains the property of its respective owners. These terms do not transfer any ownership to you.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the directory is accurate, complete, or always available.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 100 if you have paid nothing.

You may stop using the service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or to protect the service and its users.

If we change these terms we will post the new version here with a revised date. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
