Canada's wine industry is concentrated in a few cool-climate pockets, most notably the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia and the Niagara Peninsula in Ontario. These regions benefit from large bodies of water that moderate temperature extremes and extend the growing season.

Icewine is Canada's most famous export, made from grapes left to freeze naturally on the vine before pressing. Beyond this luxurious specialty, the country produces elegant Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Franc, with winemakers increasingly recognized for purity and precision.
