Ukraine has a long history of viticulture, particularly in the southern regions along the Black Sea coast and in Crimea. The continental climate, with hot summers and cold winters, supports a wide range of grape varieties and styles.

Indigenous grapes such as Odeskyi Chornyi, Telti-Kuruk, and Sukholymanskyi Bilyi are grown alongside international varieties. The modern industry has faced enormous challenges, but Ukrainian winemakers continue to produce wines that reflect their resilient spirit and diverse terroirs.
