Norway

Norway is one of the least likely places for commercial viticulture, with long, harsh winters and a growing season that is among the shortest in Europe. Grape growing is largely experimental and limited to a few protected southern locations.

Most Norwegian wine-like products are made from berries, apples, or other fruits. The country is far better known for its breathtaking fjords and vibrant beverage scene than for wine production, though a handful of growers continue to test the boundaries of northern agriculture.
