Larnaca

Overview

Larnaca District lies on the southeastern coast of Cyprus, facing the Mediterranean Sea. Viticulture here is smaller in scale than in Limassol or Paphos, with vineyards scattered among coastal plains and low hills inland. The warm, sunny climate is typical of Cyprus's southeastern shore.

Local wineries work mainly with Xynisteri for whites and Mavro for reds, producing easy-drinking wines for the domestic market and visitors. The district is often combined with nearby Limassol on wine routes that explore the island's indigenous grape varieties.
