About the Winery

Pedra de Fogo is produced by Elsa Maria da Silva Ferreira, an agricultural engineer who developed her wine project in the Canical Agricultural Park on the eastern end of Madeira Island. In 2003, she planted Touriga Nacional on 2 hectares between the mountain and the sea, producing approximately 6,000 bottles annually of a Madeiran red table wine with unique characteristics from the volcanic and red stone soils.
