About the Winery

A Cerca dos Frades is located in Lajido de Santa Luzia on Pico Island, in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage vineyard landscape, and was founded by Tito Silva in 2015. The estate has grown to approximately 15 hectares, producing wines from indigenous varieties including Arinto dos Acores, Terrantez do Pico, and Verdelho with a focus on minimal intervention and terroir expression. Visitors can enjoy guided vineyard tours and tastings near the Atlantic Ocean, with tastings ranging from 37 to 44 euros and optional vineyard tours for an additional 11 euros.
