About the Winery
Margaval Vinhos is an organic winery in the Tomar sub-region of Tejo, founded by winemaker Francisco, grandson of José Margarido, who created the Adega da Gaveta brand in 2019. The estate produces wines using minimal intervention, both in the vineyard and winery, exclusively using stainless steel tanks for fermentation and aging to authentically express the Tejo terroir. Wine tourism experiences include vineyard tours by Defender jeep, tastings paired with regional products, yoga sessions among the vines, and overnight campervan parking.
