About the Winery

Adega Porta de Teira is a family winery in Rio Maior, Tejo, owned by João M. Barbosa Vinhos, a company founded in 1997 with viticultural roots dating back to 1882. The winery produces wines from indigenous Portuguese and international varieties grown on calcareous clay hillsides near the Tejo River. The estate offers guided tours and tastings by appointment, and also produces regional organic olive oil and fruit preserves.
