About the Winery
Fitapreta Vinhos is an Alentejo winery founded in the early 2000s by winemaker Antonio Macanita and viticulturist David Booth, set against a stunning 14th-century palace near Evora. The winery produces red, white, rose, orange, and sparkling wines from indigenous grape varieties including Arinto, Antao Vaz, Touriga Nacional, and Alicante Bouschet. The estate offers wine tourism experiences including guided tours of the medieval palace and contemporary cork-clad winery, with tastings paired with regional snacks.
