About the Winery

Adega Regional de Colares, founded in 1931, is the oldest cooperative winery in Portugal, uniting over 90% of producers in the Colares region, known for wines from ungrafted vines in sandy soils. The cooperative produces wines from Ramisco red and Malvasia de Colares white grape varieties, aged in enormous wooden barrels in an impressive historic building. The winery offers guided tours and tastings Monday to Saturday, showcasing one of Portugal's most unique wine traditions.
