About the Winery
Villa Oeiras is the primary producer of Carcavelos wine, born from a partnership between the Ministry of Agriculture and Oeiras municipality in 1983. The 12.5-hectare estate is planted on calcareous soils just 200 meters from the Tagus estuary, with vines derived from original Pombal cuttings tracing back over three centuries, using Arinto, Gallego Dourado and Ratinho varieties. The winery offers guided visits Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, including tastings of their fortified wines and olive oil.
