About the Winery

Quinta das Murgas is a family estate in Freixial, Bucelas, in the hills of one of Portugal's oldest demarcated wine regions, with 12 hectares of vineyards on southwest-facing limestone slopes. Owner João França resumed vinification in 2017, focusing on Arinto, Esgana Cão and Touriga Franca with organic farming practices. The estate offers diverse wine tourism experiences including guided walks, vertical tastings, all-terrain vehicle tours, horseback rides and vineyard picnics.
