Adega da Corga
About the Winery
Adega da Corga is a winery located in Penalva do Castelo in the Dão region of Portugal, established over two decades ago and run by the Barbosa family, with Rafael Barbosa as the winemaker following in the footsteps of his grandfather, known as Velho Barbosa. The estate works with old vines, some over forty years old, cultivating indigenous Dão varieties including Encruzado and Malvasia Fina for whites, and Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Alfrocheiro, and Jaen for reds on the granite soils typical of the region. The winery produces authentic, high-quality wines recognized in regional competitions, combining traditional knowledge with modern oenological techniques to express the unique terroir of Penalva do Castelo.
