About the Winery

Quinta das Senhoras is a winery located in the historic village of Marialva, Mêda, in the Beira Interior region of Portugal, producing wines from the DOC Beira Interior designation. The estate grows Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and Sousão on granitic to schist soils in a Mediterranean climate, crafting red wines with classic techniques including foot treading in open lagares with spontaneous fermentation and seven days of maceration. The wines have received recognition including a Gold Medal at the Portugal Wine Trophy and the estate was named Best Producer up to 20 hectares in 2018, with their Grande Reserva wines demonstrating excellent aging potential.
