About the Winery

Filipa Pato is a renowned winemaker in Bairrada, the daughter of Luís Pato, who began her own wine project in 2001 after gaining experience in Bordeaux, Mendoza, and Margaret River, and was named Portugal's best winemaker in 2020. Together with her husband William Wouters, she farms 20 hectares divided among 36 plots in two villages, practicing biodynamic viticulture certified by Demeter and focusing exclusively on indigenous varieties including Baga for reds and Bical, Arinto, Cerceal, and Maria Gomes for whites. The wines are labeled as Vinhos Autênticos Sem Maquilhagem (authentic wines without makeup), with offerings ranging from entry-level wines to premium single-vineyard expressions, and the estate offers tastings and visits by appointment.
