About the Winery

Cálem is one of the most historic Port wine houses in Portugal, founded in 1859 by Antonio Alves Cálem in Vila Nova de Gaia, with an entrepreneurial legacy of exporting Port to Brazil using its own fleet, symbolized by the caravel in its logo. Over more than 160 years, Cálem has grown into a benchmark producer of Port wine combining tradition with innovation, offering a wide variety of styles including White, Ruby, Tawny, and Rosé Ports. Visitors can enjoy immersive tours and tastings at the historic cellars in Gaia.
