Barros Port

About the Winery

Barros Port was founded in 1913 as Almeida and Company by Manuel de Almeida, and later renamed Barros, Almeida and Company, growing into a significant Port producer that acquired Kopke in 1952. The house is known for its expertise in Tawny Port styles, including aged Tawnies and Colheitas, and also produces Ruby, White, and Vintage Ports. In 2006 Barros was acquired by the Sogevinus Group and visitors can experience Barros wines at the Sogevinus wine shop in Vila Nova de Gaia.
