About the Winery

Real Companhia Velha is the oldest and most emblematic wine company in Portugal, founded in 1756 under a royal charter by King D. José I. The company owns five quintas in the Douro Valley and produces a wide range of Port wines and Douro table wines. The cellars are located in Vila Nova de Gaia, across the river from Porto, where visitors can tour and taste.
