Adega Cooperativa de Favaios was established in 1952 in the Douro Cima Corgo sub-region and is one of Portugal's largest and most recognized cooperatives. With over 500 members and 1,100 hectares of vineyards, the winery is best known for its Moscatel de Favaios, a fortified wine that has made the village famous throughout Portugal.
