About the Winery

Quinta do Côtto is one of the oldest estates in the Douro Demarcated Region, founded by royal decree in 1757. Located between Mesão Frio and Peso da Régua in the Baixo Corgo sub-region, the estate encompasses 40 hectares of vineyards on steep slopes overlooking the Douro River. Many of the vines are over 100 years old, planted on schist soils between 120 and 430 meters altitude.
