About the Winery

York Creek Vineyards is owned by Fritz Maytag, whose family is synonymous with the Maytag home appliance corporation. The winery owns 125 acres of vines on Spring Mountain near the ridgeline of the Mayacamas mountains. Most vineyards are on the Napa side with a small amount of port varietals from the Sonoma side. Grapes are still sold to other premium producers including Ridge Vineyards.
