About the Winery

White Pine Winery is the culmination of a career devoted to producing the best wine grapes and wines in southwest Michigan. Owner and Winemaker Dr. Dave Miller studied grapevine physiology at Michigan State University. Dave and wife Sandy planted their first vineyard near Lawton in 1999. White Pine became a reality in 2010 with a tasting room in St. Joseph, MI and wine production on the home farm near Lawton. Specializes in aromatic whites like Riesling and Pinot Gris and fruit-driven reds like Syrah and Merlot.
