About the Winery

Watchdog Winery is a family-owned and operated vineyard and winery located along the lower Flathead River between Dixon and Perma. Named after their loyal German Shepherd, Hilo. Founded by Alyssa and Ben Griffith, the winery crafts wines in small batches from cold-hardy grapes including Itasca, La Crescent, La'Acadie Blanc, Crimson Pearl, and Frontenac. The vineyard sits on one acre on ancient soils left by Glacial Lake Missoula. They also offer Hipcamp camping on the property. Alyssa Griffith serves as vice president of the Montana Grape and Wine Association.
