About the Winery

Located in historic Valdese, NC. The Waldensians learned the craft of creating great wines in their Italian homeland and brought this skill to the foothills of North Carolina. The site of Historic Valdese was chosen by the settlers because the terrain, climate and soil composition was similar to their homes in Italy. Wine has been produced here since 1935. Today the property operates primarily as an events venue with multiple settings for weddings and gatherings.
