Vu Ja De Vineyards
About the Winery
Terraced vineyard planted on the contours of the land using permaculture principles, biodynamics, and sustainable agriculture. Founded in 2009 by winemaker Bryan George. Practices dry-cropping with no irrigation. Primarily grows six French-American hybrid varieties: four reds (Noiret, Frontenac, Landot Noir, and Marquette) and two whites (Traminette and Cayuga White). Also has an experimental plot of California varietals. Known for big, bold, dry food-friendly table wines. Some wines age in French oak barrels for 23+ months. Also produces dry whites, semi-sweet whites, and elderberry wine. Note: Bryan George announced in 2015 he was selling the operation and moving out of state. The winery may be under new ownership.
