About the Winery

Viking Vineyards and Winery opened in 1999 and closed in December 2015. It was known for its specialty wines including Vidal Blanc Ice Wine, Late Harvest Vidal Blanc, White Razzberry, and Red Kiss (red wine and chocolate blend). The winery bottled 4,000 gallons annually with 17 wines on the list. Owner Jeff Nelson won numerous medals at the Ohio Wine Competition and Indy International Wine Competition.
