About the Winery

Valo and Massalto are two wineries owned by Matías Kúsulas and Michael Ruhland. Valo focuses on Bordeaux and Rhône variety wines as well as Burgundian-style Chardonnays. Massalto is a more experimental label with less conventional offerings. Matías Kúsulas is the 2024 Washington Winemaker of the Year as awarded by the International Wine Report. They have tasting rooms in Tacoma and Ellensburg.
