About the Winery

Upland Estates Winery was opened in 2007 by Todd Newhouse to honor William B. Bridgman, the grandfather of Washington wine. Bridgman planted wine grapes on Snipes Mountain in 1917 and opened Upland Winery in 1934. The Newhouse family farms nearly 2,000 acres of fruit, over half planted to wine and table grapes. The Snipes Mountain AVA (Washington's 10th AVA) was established in 2009.
