About the Winery
The St. Charles Wine Garden revives a St. Charles landmark, blending historic charm with modern hospitality through a winery, lodging, dining, and shops. The former Vintage House Restaurant and Wine Garden, closed since 2009, has been reimagined by local businessmen. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the original property was founded by German immigrant John Wepprich who planted a vineyard and began producing wine in the late 1800s. Opened in late 2023/early 2024. Features signature house wines.
