About the Winery

Albany's first and only farm meadery, opened in May 2021. Named for the insect that produces mead's staple ingredient and Bulgaro's, an Italian restaurant that occupied the same address for over five decades. Founded by William 'Tragedy' Yager and Patrick Chiou. Uses Bee Hollow honey exclusively. Produces roughly 10-12 different Grecian-style meads including Genesis (flagship), Joy (mulled spice), and Midas (back-sweetened). Features warm colors and honeycomb-shaped decor. Also serves 12 New York beers on tap, NYS spirits and wines, and partners with Cafe Capriccio for food.
