About the Winery

Ken Starr's journey into winemaking began in 1952. He purchased land in Curwensville in 1994 and planted 12 vines, expanding to 3000 vines of Concord, Niagara, Traminette, Foch, and Leon Millot. The winery was established in 1998 and officially launched in 2005. The first winery in the nation to open locations inside Walmart Supercenters (DuBois, Clearfield, Butler, and Altoona). Known for Squatch n Berry huckleberry wine and the largest selection of Polish pottery.
