About the Winery
Star Lane & Dierberg Vineyards are owned by the Dierberg family. Star Lane Ranch was purchased in 1996 and planted with Bordeaux varietals in the Happy Canyon AVA at the eastern edge of Santa Ynez Valley. The Dierbergs also farm two cool-climate estate vineyards for their Dierberg label: Dierberg Estate Vineyard in Santa Maria Valley and Drum Canyon Vineyard in Sta. Rita Hills for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Winemaker Tyler Thomas has been with the family for over a decade. A state-of-the-art gravity-flow winery with subterranean caves.
