About the Winery
St. Avalo was started by Jill and Geir Ramleth, US immigrants who first came to the Santa Ynez Valley in 2007. They bought a property, built a home, and planted a vineyard. As the vineyard matured, their son Oliver and daughter-in-law Diana took on marketing and sales. All grapes are grown with organic farming as a principal. The brand name was originally Javaloe, derived from Geir (meaning javelin in Old Norwegian) and Jill's love of aloes.

Tasting room open in downtown Los Olivos at 2963 Grand Ave Suite B. Walk-ins welcome, reservations encouraged for seated tastings. Private tastings available. Complimentary tastings for wine club members.
