About the Winery

Soleras del Pacifico is a passion project of Jake Neustadt, viticulturist for Bedrock Wine Co. He makes Fino-style sherry from 1890s-planted, dry-farmed, own-rooted Palomino grapes interplanted within Bedrocks Evangelho Vineyard in Contra Costa County. The wine is aged under flor yeast in a traditional solera system. The project seeks to learn how Palomino, made through Iberian Peninsula winemaking traditions, expresses itself in California.
