About the Winery
South Carolina's first winery and the country's only island winery. Located in a historic 1883 wick house that originally stored oil and wicks for the Bloody Point Lighthouse. Founded in 1953 by Arthur 'Papy' Burn, a former lighthouse keeper. Famous for being mentioned in Pat Conroy's 1972 novel 'The Water is Wide.' Offers wine tastings and vineyard strolls. Wine available for purchase at the Bloody Point Lighthouse Gift Shop.
