About the Winery
Surry Cellars is the label for wine produced at Surry Community College through its viticulture and enology program. Located in the Shelton-Badgett NC Center for Viticulture and Enology, a $5-million facility. Students grow and harvest grapes, make and bottle wines, design labels, and learn marketing. Tours by appointment only. The only college east of California offering hands-on winemaking from grape to bottle.
