About the Winery
Scar of the Sea was established in 2012 and is owned and operated by Mikey and Gina Giugni in San Luis Obispo, CA. In 2024, they purchased the 29-acre Bassi Vineyard in Avila Beach in the SLO Coast AVA, one mile from the Pacific Ocean. Farmed using regenerative and biodynamic principles. They also own Lady of the Sunshine. Focus on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from coastal vineyards.
