Preston Ridge Winery
About the Winery
Preston Ridge Winery is located in Martinsville, Virginia, at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Founded in 2009 by Lawrence and Lois Penn, it was Martinsville's first winery. Lawrence Penn began as a home winemaker in 2003 and is a descendant of a long line of bootleggers. The winery produces 600-2,500 cases of wine annually from sourced grapes (including from Virginia and California) and also makes fruit wines. They lease 4 acres of vines. The winery has a quaint, local hangout atmosphere with a slushy machine and wine/beer-making supplies.
