About the Winery
Pillar Bluff Vineyards is a family owned, award-winning boutique winery primarily focusing on hand-crafted European styled wines. Established in 1999 as Texas' 46th winery, Pillar Bluff has been listed by the American Winery Guide as one of the Best Wineries in the State. Owned by Peggy and Gill Bledsoe. The six-acre vineyard comprises different red varieties including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot, Malbec, and Petite Sirah. White varieties include Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Viognier, and Semillon. Produces approximately 1,200-1,400 cases per year. Located on Pillar Bluff Creek near the Lampasas-Burnet county line. Twin brother Bill Bledsoe owns nearby Texas Legato Winery. Listed on the Way Out Wineries and Texas Hill Country wine trails.

Open Thursday-Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday 12:30pm-5pm. Private tastings by appointment. Tasting fee refunded on bottle purchase. All wines made with 100% Texas grapes except Viognier which comes from California. Crackers with bleu cheese dip served to cleanse palate. Gift shop with wine glasses and accessories. Wine club available. Live music events. Tours available when not busy.
