Pebble Rock Cellars
About the Winery
Pebble Rock Cellars was established to support a growing community of novel winemakers looking for a welcoming place to produce their wines. Founded by Robert and Lydia Nida, the name originated with a penguin, a proposal, and a rock. When Gentoo penguins find their mates, they present them with a pebble for their egg nest. When Robert proposed to Lydia, he hid her engagement ring in a rock. Co-founder Robert Nida studied horticulture at Texas A&M, completed a master's Winemakers Program in southern France, and has winemaking experience from South Africa, Oregon, and Texas. Producing about 500 cases annually with plans to grow to 1,000 cases. Sourcing grapes from Narra Vineyards and other Texas growers.
