About the Winery
Small farm winery nestled in the Appalachian foothills of West Virginia where the West Fork and Tygart form the Monongahela River. Winemaker Steve began making homemade wine as a hobby in 1984. MonValley Vineyards produces a variety of wines using American hybrid grapes like Niagara and Catawba, plus blends with berries, fruits, and juices from Italy and Chile. Known for experimental blends including a unique tomato wine. The Wine Cellar retail shop opened in February 2020, with The Corkyard outdoor space for events. Wines include White Rat (dry white), Pinot Grigio, Syrah (full-bodied oaked red), La Ladawna (dry red), Strawberry Rhubarb Moscato, Cranberry Moscato, Red Velvet (sweet cranberry blend), and Midnight Moon (blackberry and blueberry blend).
