About the Winery
Markko Vineyard was founded in 1968 as one of the first serious attempts by an Ohio winemaker to grow European Vinifera grapes on the shores of Lake Erie. Pioneering vineyard in the Lake Erie Conneaut Creek AVA. Known for Chardonnay and Riesling wines that can hold their own with America's finest white wines. Guided by Dr. Konstantin Frank. Also produces Cabernet Sauvignon blended with Chambourcin, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot.
