About the Winery
Marcassin (French for "young wild boar") is one of California's most prestigious wineries, founded in 1991 by renowned winemaker Helen Turley and her husband John Wetlaufer. Their 20-acre estate vineyard on the Sonoma Coast is planted two-thirds to Pinot Noir and one-third to Chardonnay. The wines are highly sought after and sell via mailing list with reported wait times of 7-10 years. The wines are aged five years before release and bottled without fining or filtering.
