Lost Cellars
About the Winery
Lost Cellars (previously Charlevoix Moon Vineyard) is located just north of the 45th Parallel, about two miles east of Lake Michigan in the Tip of the Mitt AVA. Nestled on 13 scenic acres with a private pond. The estate 'Moon Vineyard' was established in 2007 as a vineyard supplying local wineries with four grape varietals, then in 2015 branched out into boutique wines. Purchased by Drs. Jay and Lora Higdon from founder Tom Jaenicke ('The Man in the Moon'). Award-winning, small-batch wines showcase Northern Michigan with estate grapes and carefully selected local fruit. Also produces spirits (vodka, rum, tequila, gin) under the REBAR line. 'Chalet on the Vines' offers overnight stays. Tip of the Mitt AVA.
