About the Winery
Longview Winery is a boutique estate winery on the Leelanau Peninsula. The tasting room is also accessible at 8697 Good Harbor Trail, Cedar, MI. Owner and winemaker Alan Eaker, a former university art professor, discovered winemaking after retiring from the University of South Florida. Vineyards planted in 1999 on more than 15 acres, including Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Cayuga, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Franc. The winery produces 1,700 cases annually. Grape varietal wines are estate grown and bottled. Adjacent restaurant owned by Alan's wife, with son Aaron as chef. Leelanau Peninsula AVA. Hours: Mon-Sat 11am-6pm, Sun Noon-5pm (seasonal).
