About the Winery

Laurentide Winery (note: source had spelling as 'Lavrentide') is a boutique winery located on the 45th parallel in Lake Leelanau, Northwestern Michigan. Named after the last great ice sheet that receded 10,000 years ago. Specializes in cool climate wines. Started growing vitis vinifera on their cherry farm in 2006. 15 acres with 7 varietals on sweeping vistas 900 feet above sea level and 1 mile from Lake Michigan. First local winery to commercially grow Sauvignon Blanc in Michigan. Multiple Gold medals and Best of Class awards. Founded by Bill and Susan Braymer. Leelanau Peninsula AVA. Hours: Sun-Thu 12pm-5pm, Fri-Sat 12pm-6pm.

Tasting Room

Open Sunday-Thursday 12pm-5pm, Friday-Saturday 12pm-6pm. Indoor and outdoor seated tastings by reservation or walk-in. Petoskey stones featured in tasting room. 'Wine is History' is their motto.
