About the Winery

Family-owned operation on the historic River View Ranch west of Oklahoma City. In 1918 Henry Francis Kappus purchased 447 acres from the homesteader who claimed it in the Land Run of 1889. The next generation, Lawrence Kappus, started making wine in the 1930s. Each wine is named after a different Oklahoma state symbol. Sister locations: Flower Shop Winery & Pizzeria in Yukon and Chickasha.
