Lacewing Cellars
About the Winery
Lacewing Cellars brand is built around their commitment to sustainable farming practices, including the use of the Lacewing insect to feed on harmful insects, allowing them to grow grapes with much less intervention. Leonard and Beth Laws founded the winery after Leonard retired from the Army. Leonard graduated from Walla Walla Community College Enology and Viticulture program. They own Fool's Prairie Vineyard in the Colville River Valley north of Spokane, planted with cold-hardy vines for sparkling wines. Currently sources fruit from outstanding Walla Walla Valley and Columbia Valley vineyards.
